Thank you to the Alton Club for running an excellent Trial last Sunday. The Sunny weather couldn't have been better and really helped to make it a very enjoyable event. It's only a pity that the aces had to ride in the southern centre event to gain those valuable points to secure their freebie holiday at the inter centre team Trial. Mick Coles who clerked the event set out and good range of sections which were spot on for the experts. I spoke to a number of B route riders who also said how much they had enjoyed and with Danny Pitman losing just one mark it also looks as though that couldn't have been set out any better. |
This year we rode the course in the opposite direction to that of previous and this changed things a bit from the norm. Most of the sections were good blasts with a brilliant hill climb on section 5 marshalled by Will Brown and Jack Blackman. I was really annoyed with myself as I couldn't get around the top tree but on the last lap I willed myself up there and nearly lost it big time on the way down. I'm not going back up there if I can help it! |
Thanks to all the observers for fives where I didn't deserve it ! (only joking-- I don’t want to open that can of worms) If only we could hold a trial there every weekend. |
